We've received a lot of feedback and posts regarding problems you've encountered with AOL Mail. While my team doesn't support the AOL Mail product, we realize how important mail is to your daily life and how frustrating it can be when you encounter problems.
That said, we reached out to the AOL Mail team for guidance. So on behalf of the AOL Mail team, here are a few resources to help you get technical support and to provide you with a feedback outlet on the new AOL Mail product:
My Name is Lisa and I'm the Product Lead for AOL.COM. In short, I lead the team that designs, builds the new versions of AOL.com and make sure that current experience run smoothly. My mission (the team's mission) is to build the best home page for you and everyone that visits AOL.com. This is definitely NOT a one person operation. It takes a village! And I'll be introducing you to the team behind the scenes in the coming weeks.

41. This is why Google went public and made billions and in the last five years AOL has lost at least half their share of the market.
Keep it simple stupid! That mail page hurt my eyes. I left AOL years ago and went to Comcast because your service is so poor and complicated. I wouldn't be a subscriber to even the FREE mail if the mailbox wasn't so big. Every time you make a change, you take a step backward. The first free mail service that gives up unlimited space.....you guys are out of business. Everybody I know feels the same way.

42. I believe, after over four years of using AOL Dial-Up, that the service is drastically worse. I bought into the DSL Broadband plan, and have had nothing but trouble since that time. Error messages, Time outs, inability to get to certain web sites, etc. And, my computer, (which is up to specs in all regards, according to "One Click Fix"), is even Slower than when I had Dial-Up. I am not happy with this turn of events.

43. more changes....I have no use for the stuff on the left...I understand we're going to change, but jeez, every months it's something and I don't like the pop up at my mail....it's becoming too long of a session. Keep is simple folks...that works.

44. When I started my broadband service 2 years ago, I kept an Aol plan to avoid having to learn a new format every few months or so. Since I downloaded the New 9.0vr,I can't even log on half the time, plus my e-mail format changed and now you want me to learn a new format? So yes I'll do this for FREE and hopefully find a way to online communicate with you when I've completely had it.
Next time how about some notice not just a pop-up.

46. The new email page is disfunctional - it's very very slow - and the spell check doesn't work at all - all the text I write simply dissappears

47. I dislike the new AOL.com Mail. My two biggest complaints are that it is slower, and requires additional clicking to access my mail. Also, I can no longer access it through my mobile device.
I also dislike the new home page. It is clearly a copy of Yahoo. If I wanted to use Yahoo and their mail, I would use them.
I have been with AOL for 10 years now, and sadly, it looks like this is where we will finally part ways.

48. I'm using two kinds of AOL, the old kind, and the new kind. Personly, the new kind sucks, because with the old kind, when I write an e-mail to someone with the old kind, I can put font and things like that. But with the new AOL, I can't do any of that. So, the more you do to AOL, the worst you make it. Tony

49. I wish you would stop changing your format. I know you are trying to make things look and respond better, but everytime you change your format it screws everything up!!!!

50. What a pain. It is too cluttered, the screens for e-mail are too small, even if you enlarge them per instructions. I use this for work and do not have the time to sort through the extraneous materials and find what I need.
The changes have made me consider seeking a new provider.

51. The format of the new pages even the 2 column format does not fit on my current display setting of 1024 by 768 Pixels. How do I shrink the content to fit so I don't have to scroll left and right to see the page?

52. This looks like the first version of AOL from the 90s. The features are nice but it looks very dated. I looks like they spent all their money of development and not a penny on design.

53. The e-mail system worked much better before all the changes. It is much slower now and takes a lot of time to load the mail you are trying to read. Don't need the news showing up on the e-mail page-I just saw it on the home page. You need to fix it and speed the mail loading up. Have friends who are leaving-have left because of your e-mail system.

55. Months ago, I switched from AOL software to AOL.Com because the latter seemed designed for adults--the email function in particular worked quickly and efficiently, looked good, and was without the silly bells and whistles that invariably complicate and slow things down.
Now, on top of all the unnecessary features, I find that every time I spell check a mail, text preceding an altered word disappears from the letter.
Initially, I retyped the missing text, only to discover, once the mail was sent, that the original text was still there and had only been "in hiding."
What this meant was that I had, unwittingly, created letters with text duplications.
Calls to AOL help resulted in the reflexive cache-clearing suggestions--then finally the advice that there was a "system problem." But the problem remains. When will it be fixed?

56. is there anyway to switch back to the old layout?
Posted at 10:46AM on Jul 6th 2007 by heidi
57. Every since you all have switched to the new Layout, the site moves UNBEARABLY slow! I used to be able to click on my mail, and it came up instantly, now (even with high speed interenet) I feel like I am looking at that "LOADING" screen for at least 30 seconds. AOL is the only website that I have trouble with. Every other site I go to is lightning fast.

58. I have stuck with AOL for years even though everyone tells me it sucks. Well, this "new" AOL has finally brought me over to their side. It sucks. It takes forever for the pages to load. Everything else on the web loads in a snap, and more than half the time I can't get my mail. I just get a white page saying "Loading AOL mail" with some stupid emoticon. I don't want an emotican, I want my mail. Thanks for finally making me see the advantage of using another email service.

59. AOL is the worst dreck, I don't know why I even use it. It is for those who love Tabloid garbage.

60. Always have to look for the calendar. It has always been just a click away and now am encouraged to use g-mail's calendar. Too hard to find!
