Based your feedback, it's clear that one size doesn't fit all. That's why we created two homepage layouts so you can choose the experience that works best for you; the three column layout (our new default view) or the two column layout that's similar to the previous version of the AOL.com Homepage.
To change your homepage layout, just click on the page icon at the top right corner (next to the color picker) and your homepage will refesh to display the appropriate layout.

We we hope you find the feature useful. Let us know what you think!
Best,
Lisa

263. I'm not happy with the fact that I can't cc e-mail. The only access to my e-mail address's is flip through multiple pages. I don't mind changes but the lack of function with the "new" features is disturbing this time around not to mention the lack of momentum between commands is not good. It doesn't have to be fast paced but honestly this is worse than dial-up.
This has been an unfortunate change.

264. Whatever you did, IT SUCKS!!! Now I can't even get into my e-mail. For crying out loud, IF IT AIN'T BROKE THEN DON'T FIX IT!!! Even though I only use AOL for a sideline e-mail account, I'm about to dump AOL if I can't even read my messages.

265. It has a confusing appearance & you've lost abilities to function quickly.Ex. E-mail-you have to sign in each time, then WAIT to download it & WAIT for each message to load.
Connecting to a website now takes LONGER because the address no longer goes directly to the site. It now goes to another pg. with more sites! Click again,WAIT again until you finally get to the URL. That's 3 times LONGER! Why am I paying extra for high-speed? Another thing-where did my URL list of "Favorites" disappear to?
The minimize button doesn't work now, it works as "close" and/or turn back the pg.
I've had to download 2 different AOL drivers because AOL kept losing internet connection on a daily basis. In my need to get online I would revert to using Internet Explorer & bypass AOL. Now you control IEx so I have still have to suffer thru your problems of losing connection.
Do you think we are happy with AOL service? Waiting for reply.

266. Luther,
I want to make sure that I understand your feedback. A lot of folks are posting Mail specific feedback on the Homepage Blog, so want to make sure that you are referring to the Homepage and not the new mail application.
If you are referring to the Homepage, it's sound like you're having issues with the Mail Preview Panel. Just want to make sure you know that you can click on the Mail icon and authenticate directly to the Web Mail product OR sign in from the expanded Mail panel to display a Preview of your inbox on the homepage. You can do either it's a matter of your preference.
But I can certainly understand you wanting direct access to your Mailbox if you're in a hurry and not wanting to browse about on the Homepage. Again, just click on the Mail icon on the Homepage to go directly to the Web Mail product and it's respective sign in process. If I misunderstood you completely and your comments were on the Web Mail product, I apologize. I try to pass along a daily summary of the Web Mail related comments to the Mail team for review. However, you may want to visit the Mail Product Blog if you're interested in more information on the Web Mail experience. You can find it here: http://mailblog.aol.com.
As for your question about your list of "Favorites". Are you referring to the list of Favorite Places that you configured when you were signed into the AOL client software? If so, Favorite Places set up inside the AOL software are not accessible from the Web. You're not the first person to comment on this and I have passed this feedback on to the Favorites team for review. I agree, I have a folder of Favorite Places stored in my AOL software and it would be nice to have access to them from stand alone IE and Firefox browsers.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by the minimize button not working. Please elaborate so I can better understand your issue.
Best,
Lisa

272. The mail client is too slow now. Also address book management took a huge step backwards. It takes me 3 times longer to go through the process of seeing if a contact is already in a group and if not, add them to the group.

273. The new homepage stinks... I have been with you since the start of AOL and what has been done is running me off. I do not have time to go thru what is required to get what simple stuff I need.

275. I don't know what you are trying to accomplish but if your goal is to totally frustrate me, you're getting close!!
Where the heck is my address book??
I know fewer and fewer people who are using AOL. I've tried to stick it out because the address is on my business cards. Pretty soon it will be worth it to print new cards.

280. I have a MacBook Pro running OS/X 10.4.10 with 3 gigs (!) of memory and I CAN'T GET AOL EMAIL TO LOAD!!! After a longggggg wait (watching the cassette player or winking emoticon) I finally get the prompt that if my mail's not loading I can use the "simple" version but then I lose all of my addresses etc. Anybody know how to fix this? Or is it time to switch to gmail for good?
