Another feature we introduced with the new AOL Homepage are Preview Panels. Preview Panels are the four big iconic buttons located in the top column of the page and combine navigation to popular features (on click of the icon) with a sneak peek of relevant information and functionality that expands down when you mouse over the icon.
We've given you a starter set of Preview Panels including Mail, Weather, Radio and Video. However, you can change 3 of the 4 panels (Mail is permanent) so you control what panels you want displayed on your homepage. Just click on the arrow in the upper right corner of each icon to display the list of options.

We are working on creating more Preview Panel options over the coming months so that we're giving you even more options to choose from. And we'd love to hear what panels you'd like to see on your homepage. So let us know.
Until next time!
Lisa

41. I have been with aol forever and recently it has gone downhill. The home page doesn't fit on the screen, if i click on an attachment or pictures the box is too small to look at them, my preview panel is all screwed up and all over the place...not like the one shown above thats for sure. Overall AOL is becoming worse and needs to be put back. stop this nonsense.

47. This latest AOL version is REALLY bad. It makes no sense. The one before was just fine. If it ain't broke, don't break it...
It's also REALLY slow. I'm thinking that's so we have more time to view the hideous barrage of adds...

52. Since the 9.0V update, when logging on to AOL, it takes 20 plus seconds for it to check the password and once in the program, it takes 25 plus seconds to change screen names. I have communicated with customer service and tried all the quick-fixes including restore. All I succeded in doing is losing my tool bar short cuts. Any ideas on when the next update to fix your problems will be?

56. This is strange I just now came across this section of adding
comments. I changed over thinking things would be bigger and
better, but, I did (do) not like it a bit! I agree with everything that someone is saying that I have read, each person had a valid complaint. Too many ads, waiting for your
sentence to be completed, just too much "mess".
Moral of this is--I had just completed getting help on how to
drop the "NEW" AOL, go back to the past AOL. Another very petty small
thing, however, is the "SMILEY FACES" AOL has, and the little
"thingies" we can add to the bottom of an E-mail-letter, etc.
that is sweet/cute,uplifing, All that mess we have is really
bad! Why can't we have some "cute" "Sweet" choices of little
smiley faces. Most choices not are really dumb/ stupid
looking, at least most. Get some examples from other sites,
let us have a choice. AOL's choice is at the bottom of the list. Some sweet little something at the close of an E-mail/letter to someone having a rough time for what-ever reason could help them possibly bring a smile to their face.
Anyway, I am back to 9.0 and hope you all can come up with
something a bit more helpful to us, too much on one screen is
mind boggling. Let US select what we want when we open AOL.
I may not even stay here long, AOL just got too carried away.
Thank you for letting me vent, but, the 3+ HOURS I SPENT LATE LAST NIGHT GETTING CHANGED BACK, WAITING FOR aol TO ANSWER PHONES, HOLDS, ETC. SHOULD NOT BE NECESSARY. I HAD A QUESTION WITH DELL which appeared to be fairly serious, annoying to say the least, and their phone was answered quickly, I got to the area I needed quickly and got the best service possible. A person should not have to give up most of ther evening-night on "hold" tying to get the stupid recording, that never hardly knows a thing, just has
you repeating the same thing when you give them a "NO" when
the recording asks you for the tenth time, "So what you are saying is----------". When, that is NOT what I EVER said.
Give us "People",we are busy, we have a life and many families out there to care for, not spend the whole evening "holding"
on for a live person, after you have spent 30 minutes trying to get through the repeated recording, over and over and over. Sorry, it does make me very angry. I've been with AOL for a long time, but, it's
never to late to tell AOL to take me off their list, I have
wasted enough of my time.
Hope it gets better. Was refreshin g to know that it was not just ME who was not at all impressed with the "new" AOL!
There were other things as well, but, I am just tired of typing.

57. Add removing the search box to the customization. It is very difficult to type addresses while it's grabbing focus, especially when one of the annyoing flash ads is running. That or turn the damned thing off.

59. I don't think the new aol is that bad. And i like how you can change the colors on the page, but i wish there was like one or two really cool colors, like a hot pink with black accents or something. Or like neon green with black.

60. AOL should remove this individuals address as they are committing fraud. see below.
