Each week we will try and highlight one of the new Preview Panels to give a better understanding of the features.
Click here to read about how to customize your own Preview Panels.
We wanted to start with the Ebay Preview Panel which is one new option that we are REALLY excited about. We know that a lot of you in our
When you add the eBay Preview Panel, the default view when you put your mouse over the eBay icon will show a search view.
If you type in a search term ("Boston Red Socks" for example – sorry Yankee fans...) into the eBay search box, the results will show directly in the panel with the items whose auctions are finishing soonest listed at the top. If you hold your mouse pointer over any of the items in the search results, you will see a preview of the item including an image (where provided by the seller), number of bids, current price, and the buy-it-now price.

If you click on any specific item from the search results, you will see a more detailed description of the item including how much time is left, reserve info, and other details.
From here, you can do go back to your search results or start a new search over from the beginning. At this time, you aren't able to bid on items directly from the eBay Preview Panel, but if you click on the item from the detail page in the panel, it will take you directly to the eBay site to bid or do other eBay actions.

It's really useful to keep an eye on something your bidding on without having to spend time to navigate all over the Internet!! If you decide you no longer want to track a specific item, just simply click "Clear item" and then you can search for and track something else.
Try it out now at AOL.com and let us know what you think. We look forward to your feedback!!!

3. THIS LATEST CHANGE is like the rest before, IT SUKS... It does NOT work correctly, and it has ruined my acces to any home page and web sites! The constant changes to the account information pages, security errors, and links to pages that are not THERE is maddening! it is WHY i never used AOL to begin with, and DESPISE the AOL content taking over Netscape!
GOOD BYE netscape, I'll use the dreaded Internet Exploerer and Yahoo for a homepage!

5. Plain and simple. KEEP them SEPARATE. I understand you want to help, but Keep It SIMPLE, KEEP them Separate. I want control of what i see, when i see it. Period.

6. The preview panel I'd most like to see would be one that would
let me preview my other screen names to see if I have mail.
What I would also like to see would be a "switch screen name" panel
so I don't have to sign off then back on to change names.
If those exist now, I can't find them. (I know they are available
in the AOL client package, but I wish they were also available
at AOL.com.)

8. For those who are new to E-Bay please be aware of a couple of things you need to be wary of...When you purchase or use an Ebay store and/or powerseller check to be sure they are legit. I ran into a fraudulent site/seller and Ebay could/would do nothing to help. This happened twice to me.
Once trying to purchase and once giving some hierlooms to a supposedly legit guy to sell. I lost everything and Ebay does not offer any kind of help or protection. They did shut his site down.
You have to be really careful. Ebay has a tool bar that checks the site but I got mixed responses. Pay with Paypal and really check the person out!

10. Why does AOL.com keep looking more and more like YAHOO?????
Posted at 5:26PM on Feb 5th 2008 by Ben
11. Why is AOL so gender and racially bias? Your news, articles, and photos tend to lean more toward white females. I'm sure a large majority of AOL users are from a diverse background. Please don't forget to include us... try mixing things up a little, okay?
Other than that, the format is dandy!

14. You are very considerate to create this eBay preview panel, it is very useful for me, because I often make auctions on eBay. With your help, I needn't to check eBay official site everyday anymore.
Thank you very much!

20. I don't use eBay and probably won't. I do wish that AOL would make its homepage to automatically "roll over" to the next day, automatically update the temperature and make it so that I am not cancelled out of the Welcome page when go to a link in an email. I do like many of the newer features though. I hope you'll continue to improve it.
