You may have noticed that we've made some major changes to the home page. And if you haven't, we're in the process of rolling them out to everyone in the coming weeks. So change is coming soon.
We've spent several months working hard to design an experience that makes it easy for you to access the things YOU care about most – right from your AOL.com home page. So, we are opening our site to include features you've told us are important to you -- whether it's access to different email accounts or your favorite Web sites. You're stuff is as important as our (AOL) stuff.
A little over a month ago we introduced Gmail and Yahoo! mail previews to the AOL.com home page. We received a lot of positive feedback from you when we introduced the feature so we knew we were on to something.
Today, we are pleased to introduce more features that, we hope, will save you time and make your online routine a little easier and more relevant. You'll now find access to some of your favorite Social Networks, an RSS Feed Browser that lets you read news from other Web sites, customizable navigation, enhanced Local information featuring real-time news and some fun new themes -- all available right on your AOL.com home page.
We want to thank you for your feedback. It helped us build the site you see today. We'd like to keep the conversation going and continue listening to what you like, don't like and really wish you could have on your homepage. So please leave comments on the blog or send us feedback.
We hope enjoy the new AOL.com home page. And if you want to learn more about the new features, click on the links below. Or, sit back, relax and watch the Page Tour. Enjoy!

1) With the new AOL (www.aol.com), whenever I forward an email that contains pictures, the pictures are not forwarded. The old www.aol.com had no problem with forwarding emails containg picts. Now I strictly have to use the AOL software if I want to forward an email and expect the picts to be forwarded too. Who cares about 'themes'? I just want this application to be usable and AOL is taking me down a path I didn't subscribe to nor want. Oh and the 'back to classic' didn't help with the forwarding picts problem.
2) Today I find out that the AOL hometown personal webspace is going away. :( So what is replacing it and will it be included in my current pricing plan???? If not, what am I paying AOL for when all it's good for is email?
Looks like the AOL service is not going to be of much usable service anymore. Such a shame as I've had my AOL account SINCE 1995!!!!!!

I agree, why are we payig al this money just for email and a browser? Both my sites have been taken off and although I have saved my work I have to search around for another host. No matter how AOL titivates its site it's still just a browser.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THE CALLOUSNESS OF AOL TO LEAVE ALL US BLOOGERS IN THE COLD! GOOGLE AND AOL LOST MANY OF OUR SITES AND MOST OF OUR PICTURES. THE SITES MAY NOT BE IMPORTANT TO YOU BUT THEY ARE TO US AND ALL OUR WORK HAVE BEEN LOST. NO ONE ANSWERS OUR QUERIES FOR HELP. i KNOW I AM NOT ALONE IN FEELING ABANDONED. AOL AND GOOGLE ARE SO BIG NOW-THEY STOPPED CARING ABOUT US. SHAME ON THEM

I feel totaly abandoned by AOL and I am sure thousands do. They have taken away people's web space who have been paying for years. I call that theft. They are rotten to do this, really rotten.

Can AOL provide all of the old Hometown/FTP homepage customers with a way to tell our readers a new location for our website content? My site was up since 12/31/98 and it would have been nice to proved a forwarding address to everyone.

Hi. I really like the new look of AOL.com; however, when will AOL Desktop and AOL 9.1 users be able to see the AOL.com screen? We still have the old green welcome screen. And when I try to go to http://www.aol.com/newhomepage IN the client, I still get the old AOL.com... Thanks!

What has happened to the non-verbal dictionary? The msg you've left is that, effective 31 Oct 2008, this is closed. I was just starting to read into it yesterday and found it insightful. I wanted to come back to it and you've shut it down! Is there any way to get this back?

Aol has treated people in the UK disgracefully. MY web site has gone so presumably I now have to pay to go somewhere else for it and at the same time pay for AOL braod band at their high prices. It is a disgusting what to treat people. I have been with AOL for over 20 years. I will go to the News papers about this. To hell with AOL

AOL is an expensive ISP £19.95 per month (about)and it has the appauling cheek to take people's web space away. Some people's sites have been ruined as a result. They are mean and tight and have treated their members as though they were of no value at all. They have no idea of the trouble they have caused to thousands in the UK. But it will come back to haunt them. AOL you are at the bottom of the pile of providers, you stink!!!
