You may have noticed that we've made some major changes to the home page. And if you haven't, we're in the process of rolling them out to everyone in the coming weeks. So change is coming soon.
We've spent several months working hard to design an experience that makes it easy for you to access the things YOU care about most – right from your AOL.com home page. So, we are opening our site to include features you've told us are important to you -- whether it's access to different email accounts or your favorite Web sites. You're stuff is as important as our (AOL) stuff.
A little over a month ago we introduced Gmail and Yahoo! mail previews to the AOL.com home page. We received a lot of positive feedback from you when we introduced the feature so we knew we were on to something.
Today, we are pleased to introduce more features that, we hope, will save you time and make your online routine a little easier and more relevant. You'll now find access to some of your favorite Social Networks, an RSS Feed Browser that lets you read news from other Web sites, customizable navigation, enhanced Local information featuring real-time news and some fun new themes -- all available right on your AOL.com home page.
We want to thank you for your feedback. It helped us build the site you see today. We'd like to keep the conversation going and continue listening to what you like, don't like and really wish you could have on your homepage. So please leave comments on the blog or send us feedback.
We hope enjoy the new AOL.com home page. And if you want to learn more about the new features, click on the links below. Or, sit back, relax and watch the Page Tour. Enjoy!

Like most everyone else here, I had my web site on AOL Hometown too. Mine was on since May, 1996. I’ve been a paying member since 1995. When AOL went to a free service, I continued my pay-for-service plan. I thought that, since I was receiving a derived benefit from my website being hosted on AOL, it was only fair that I should put something back into the pot. Stupid ME!!!! Well, I did get the AOL email notifying me about the shutdown and I retrieved my files before the power went off. But the search engine positioning & all the external links to the site are gone forever. I'm up and running again, my new URL is http://www.typewriterdepot.com and is hosted by a more reliable company than AOL. I will start all over again.
My parting comments to the AOL staff that made this decision are, how dumb can you get? Why walk away from this business when you can charge for the service? Or sell it if you don’t want it. Are you in some sort of self-destruct mode? Are you actually getting paid to make these decisions? I am sure that folks would have paid for this valuable service. It’s no surprise to me that AOL is in the pickle it’s in these days. THIS WAS THE DUMBEST DECISION I’VE SEEN MADE IN A LONG TIME. I don’t know who’s steering this ship but it’s sad.
Amen.

I just upgraded to the new AOL tool bar and LOST the "Share" Button that used to be at the top! I used this all the time to email links to pages I was viewing. Now I have no idea how to email a link without typing out the url! Any way I can get the "Share" Button back? Or download an older AOL tool bar?

I have taken the tour, listened to the intro and waited for the tour to begin. It did not. Tried again this time clicking "skip the intro" and the intro only repeated the introduction. I have not been advised of the new features or how to use existing and new features. Will you address these in a "new tour?"
Is there any other way to assess the new features?

After listening to the intro to the tour, I expected a "tour of new features." Nothing happened. Where doeds this get explained? What is the purpose of the tour?

Is it possible to have my calendar to be the first page that opens "as my home page" using this new version of aol?
I run each day, week, and month, using my calendar (the large, full size page calendar, that you can put events, special appointments, health visits, meetings, etc in to.
If so, how would I accomplish this feat. I would like to see the main aol web page as soon as I close my calendar.
If anyone can help, I wish to thank you kindly.

I don't like the new look & want to permanently return to the Classic site. However as has been stated, the "Return to the Classic site" to the left of the Themes at the top right of the page does not appear on my page. All that appears is advertisements. Please advise how I can return to the Classic page permanently.

since you have redesign the new, look it has been a pain in the butt trying to get on to our emails.Sometimes people should just leave things the way it was and concentrate of providing better service. You dont see Coke or Hershey re-doing their styles. Remember if it did not break then dont try fixing it.

I've been with AOL since 2003 and its the best on the internet, because it has everything you need in one place. AOL is much better than comcast.
Thank You AOL for making the #1 site on the web
