We've added an exciting new feature that will allow you to tailor your home page more to your preferences. This feature is one that we've received requests for in our feedback, and it's just one of the many ways we are striving to make AOL.com the ideal home page experience.
The new functionality allows you to collapse or expand select sections of the page. If you see a downward-facing arrow to the left of the title of a content area, then this means you can click it to either hide or show the content inside.
Below is an image showing an expanded content area -- Sports News.
You'll see a downward-facing arrow next to the title:
Let's say that you aren't currently interested in Sports News and want to minimize it on your page.
One click to the arrow will allow you to hide the Sports News content, which will look like this:
To see the Sports News content again, click the arrow pointing right to expand the section. Give it a try!
AOL.com will remember the expand or collapse state that you leave each module in for each visit so that it will be the same each time you come to the page. If you happen to reset your cookies at some point, these settings will be lost and you will need to tweak your page again. Click here for more info on how we store your settings.
Thanks so much for taking the time to check out our latest feature. We truly value your feedback, so please keep it coming!

The new automatic features are TERRIBLE! Please don't try to decide where I want to go, what I want to look up and what method I want to get there! I can make these decisions all by myself and your annoying pop-ups just take up a lot of unnecessary time!!!

This is SUPER!! It provides information and links I don't have to search around for. AOL you've finally GOT IT. I hope it works as efficiently as you planned. 21st century stuff, I'm really surprised. All this coming from a guy whose used computers for over 38 years and pre-Windows. We had rooms full of equipment that couldn't do what's in everybody's pocket nowadays. I remember when I'd send information and emails, never get a response or the person on the other end couldn't open it. You've come a long way, baby.

I also find this feature very useful. I don't like overloaded pages with numerous useless articles and other info. If I need to find anything, I can always make use of rapidshare and its search engines like http://rapidqueen.com and so far I am completely satisfied with what you suggest.

I can't speak for everyone but so far BEBO SUCKS, can't access the message board I use. You can't even leave a comment. There's a button to click but it doesn't work. Seems everything AOL does is nothing but a disaster and not in the best interests of the users. I'm guessing it won't be long before alot of people leave AOL to find something better to use.

I can't see why I would modify AOl when it's nearly useless now. I haven't been able to get Adobe Flash Player for several months. AOL personnel I've talked to say AOL users can't get Adobe Flash, there's a contract conflict. Besides not being able to use most of the internet, I can't even read 1/4 of my emails. AOL says if I call at a certain time during the day, I might be able to talk to someone who knows something. What that hour is, they don't know. That's just the info I get from the several foreign people that I can barely understand. I haven't had time to shop for internet service. Can anyone out there tell me about a good American service where I can get Adobe Flash Player again.

Tracy and AOL. Why can't you just leave it alone. Why do you have to employ someone who is continully fooling with your formats. I was happy a year ago, but now with all the new formats for Portfolio, Email, Opening Page, sports, it is just chaos. I will sure be looking for alternatives.
