You may notice something new on the AOL homepage -- "Real-Time Topics" have been added to news headline sections like Top News, Entertainment News, Sports News and Finance News.
Real-Time Topics serves up items that are hot and topical from across the Web. Each link will take you to a dedicated Love.com page that has been created around a person or topic. Love.com is a site that provides real-time news, videos and more, for all of the topics you love (there are 300,000 of them!).
Here's where to find Real-Time Topics on your homepage (check out the area circled in red):
Clicking on a link will open an topic page at Love.com like the one shown here:
(example shown - http://sonia-sotomayor.love.com/)
You can take Real-Time Topics to a whole new level by creating your own dashboard of items. It's easy to set up -- just click "Add" in the upper right of any topic page, and then go to http://i.love.com/ to view your dashboard. You can add as many topics as you want to track, and you will get continuous updates which will ensure you are seeing the freshest content.
We hope you love this fun and topical feature geared towards helping you stay on top of everything you want to know. Do let us know what you think!

As a 10 yr. plus user of AOL, I'm having an issue with the 8 item slide show has morphed now to being all featurettes of some type or another with little if any real news content. The real news is text only (no pictures), below and one has to scroll down (work) to read. With so much ad space taking up the page, it is putting AOL at a real disadvantage to me. Please consider that some people prefer news, as online viewing is replacing newspapers, and it is not ergonomic to scroll down to read the news. I feel like there is a magazine like candy coating on everything there that is trying to avoid domestic or world news that could be considered negative or possibly even depressing. I for one just want to see what is going on in the country and world today-good or bad! Thanks for listening!

I have never successfully logged in to Twitter from AOL.com. Sometimes, it's possible for me to log in to Twitter when I click to my old favorite AOL "About Me" redirecting me to my new (and much disliked) Bebo profile and clicking on my apps/BeboTwit.
Contrastly, I have no problem logging in to MySpace from AOL.com
FYI these issues persist seven months on (not including yesterday's Twitter hack/network down time).
What gives?
